Drawing Class (Roeland Park) – May 2023

Individuals enrolling in this class will be introduced to basic techniques of drawing with pencil, provided drawing exercises, and take part in discussion that will help you really ‘see’ your subject.

This artist-led class consists of six 2-hour sessions, over six consecutive Fridays, starting 12th May, 2023.

Supply List

Recommended class materials include:

• Sketchbook, either 8×10 in size or 9×12   (I recommend Strathmore toned paper. Can be gray toned, blue, or tan)
• Pencils – 2H, 4H, HB, 3B, 6B   (I encourage a set of pencils if you want to spend the money)
• Blending Stump   (These are tightly rolled grey paper for blending. I recommend the stumps that are as thick as a pencil)
• Knead Eraser   (I recommend the bigger ones)
• Generals white charcoal pencil
• Generals sanguine pencil
