Sketchbooks

I have a wide variety of sketchbooks, and I seldom travel without one. I use them to record scenes of interest when out and about, to carry out studies to achieve a better understanding of a subject, and to plan composition and techniques for a larger piece.

I encourage all students of art, to carry a sketchbook and pencil (however small, and however basic), so that when the impulse rises, you are equipped.
